Our Story

Keyturn Properties was born out of our own frustration when trying to acquire properties to renovate. Initially, we explored auctions, thinking they were a great way to find houses in need of work. However, we quickly became disillusioned by the high fees, which didn’t just impact buyers like us—they also meant sellers were often getting less for their properties than they should. Moreover, we kept seeing the same properties reappearing in auctions, which made us realise how unreliable and uncertain the process could be.

We then looked into the “We Buy Any House” model, where companies often rely heavily on data-driven offers that don’t reflect the true value of a property. Worse still, many would reduce their offers at the last minute, leaving sellers in a difficult position when they were already committed to a sale. It didn’t sit right with us.

We knew there had to be a better way. That’s why we founded Keyturn Properties. We wanted to create a more transparent, ethical way for people to sell their homes quickly—without the stress, uncertainty, or unfair last-minute reductions. Our model is focused on buying, renovating, and reselling properties, and because we specialise in Chesterfield and its surrounding areas, we have the local knowledge and expertise to offer accurate, informed prices.
